The Return of the Prodigal Son?
Today the world is going crazy. The modern "prodigal son" does not know the way home, lost in the jungle of new realities of global network. Can the language of traditional European art in these circumstances help us to remain ourselves? We say – no! The dead language of this art no longer describes today's reality. We consider contemporary art as the laboratory of a new language for a quantum leap into a different type of consciousness, corresponding to the era of network culture.
We create images in which the inner and outer spaces of human existence are identical to each other. Due to this, the subject becomes the same object as any attribute of the external world. Artificial virtual reality is the space where today this identity is realized.
HAVA
HAVA. Augmented Reality Effect (AR)
The art-work “Hava” is supplemented by elements of AR-technology. Visitors can download the free app Devar Live (available on Google Play and AppStore) and observe the "revived" picture through their smartphone camera. The viewer sees as the raptor, which Hava keeps on her hands, comes out of the picture plane, becomes "real" three-dimensional and moving, and then jumps down to the floor and begins to interact with people. An impressive sense of presence has been made possible through the use of augmented reality technology, as well as technology markerless interaction of the virtual object and the real world around (see the video bellow).

The artists are convinced that the word "freedom" in Russia is perceived as "Chinese writing". Therefore, they accompanied their artwork CRY with Chinese characters, denoting the word "freedom" and resembling graphically the prison grille.
The work "You do not have to bother yourself" expresses the thought formulated by Confucius: "Sit quietly on the bank of the river, and the corpse of your enemy will sail past."
